Division Guidelines: Men & Women Singles and Doubles
B Division: This division is for high intermediate tournament players in the 3.5 to
4.0 categories.
C Division: This division is intended for low-medium intermediate tournament players
in the 3.0 category.
D Division: This division is intended for beginning players with no significant
tournament experience in the 2.0 to 2.5 categories.
Tournament Format:
Divisions will be set based on the number of participants per division.
We have (12) courts reserved each day from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
All matches will be best of two out of three sets; 3rd set with12 point tiebreaker.
Consolation matches may be considered based on number of participants for each division once
registration is closed. This information will be posted on the event website by June 10, 2008.
Consolation matches will be 8-game pro-sets, no ad scoring with a 12-point tie breaker at 8
games all.
Each player must check in to the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before match time. A
five minute warm up will be enforced. Once the match is called, the USTA 15 minute default
time will be enforced.
The Tennis Sports Director reserves the right to change the format in the event of inclement
weather or any unforeseen event that may affect the scheduled completion of the tournament.
Tournament Rules:
Tournament will be played according to USTA rules.
Seedings:
Seedings will be based on USTA ranks. If a player is not ranked, seeding will be a random draw.
On-Court Attire:
Proper tennis attire and footwear is required.
Prizes:
There will be prizes awarded for the 1st and 2nd place for each division.
