GOLF GUIDELINES & RULES
   


Golf Update: 6/17/2008

Registration opens at 7:00am.
Please be at golf course at least 30 minutes prior
for 8:00am shotgun start.



Division Guidelines:
Eagle division: Players with 0-12 handicap index

Birdie division: Players with 13-20 handicap index

Par division: Players with 21+ handicap index
Open Play division: No handicap index needed; this is a non-competition division

*If you do not have an established USGA handicap index and would like to compete in the tournament, you may submit (3) most recent scores with golf course played to Golf Sports Director. You will receive a tournament handicap based on this information and placed in appropriate division.

All players must submit current handicap index or (3) most recent scores at time of registration. If your handicap index changes from your May 2008 index, please inform Golf Sports Director prior to June 10, 2008.

Tournament Format:
18-hole stroke tournament, net round score for all players in three divisions based on handicap.

For players in the Eagle division, men will tee off from the blue tees, women will tee off from the white tees.

For players in Birdie and Par divisions, men will tee off from the white tees, women will tee off from the red tees.

Any ties will be decided by random hole scoring pre-determined by the Golf Sports Director.

Tee times will be determined based on the number of golfers. This information will be made available on the event website by June 10, 2008. First tee time is 8:00am.

For hole contests (Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive), there will be designated holes for men and women. All golfers are eligible to play and win the hole contests.

Tournament Rules:
Tournament will be governed by the current "Rules of Golf" as approved by the USGA. Local rules at the golf course will also apply.

Dress Code:
Proper attire is required at all times on the golf course. No jeans, cut offs, tank or halter tops.

Awards Luncheon:
Upon conclusion of their rounds, players will enjoy a buffet awards luncheon.

Prizes:
There will be prizes awarded for lowest net scores for the 1st and 2nd place for Eagle, Birdie and Par divisions.

There will be prizes for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin for men and women. All golfers are eligible to win.
